Send certificates that match the policy, the first time.
A certificate that misses one line gets rejected, and the job waits. Send the holder’s request with your policies, and we check every limit, holder name and endorsement against the policy in force. Free, and back the same business day when the request arrives by 3 pm Pacific.
What you get
- Every item the holder asks for, listed from their request or contract
- Each item marked supported, missing or not evidenced against your policy wording
- Additional insured, waiver and primary wording checked against the endorsements actually on file
- Holder name, address and description of operations drafted exactly as requested
- A complete request, checked against the policy in force
- The result saved to your workspace with the holder and the policy expiry dates
How it works
- 01
Send the request
Forward the holder’s email, the contract exhibit or the vendor portal requirement with your declarations pages.
- 02
Every item is matched
Software compares each requested limit, form and wording with the policies and endorsements on file.
- 03
A person reviews
A qualified reviewer confirms each limit, holder name and endorsement before release.
- 04
You get a clear answer
What the policy supports today, what is missing and the exact request to close each gap.
What to send
- The certificate request, contract exhibit or portal requirement
- Declarations pages for general liability, auto, workers’ comp and umbrella
- The forms and endorsements schedule for each of those policies
- Any certificate the holder has already rejected, with their reason
- The date the holder needs it
What you receive and when
Our standard is a checked result the same business day when the request arrives by 3 pm Pacific with your policies. When an endorsement is missing, we tell you that day exactly what to request. A person replies within one business hour, 8 am to 6 pm Pacific, Monday to Friday.

Is the certificate check really free?
Yes. There is no card, no subscription and no obligation, and you keep your broker. We check what the holder asks for against your policies and tell you what is supported and what is missing. If you later want SF Coverage to handle your certificates, that is a separate conversation.
What happens when a request asks for wording my policy lacks?
The certificate cannot honestly show it. SF Coverage names the missing endorsement, requests it from the insurer the same business day and follows up every two business days until it is issued. The certificate goes out once the policy supports the wording.
Does a certificate prove coverage?
No. A certificate is a summary of the policy on the date it is issued. It does not change the policy and cannot add coverage. California law says a certificate cannot amend, extend or alter the policy it describes, so the endorsements behind it are what count.
Why do certificates get rejected?
Common reasons include a limit below the contract, a missing additional insured or waiver endorsement, the wrong holder name and a description that does not match the job. Each rejection costs time on site. Checking the request against the policy first catches most of these before anything is sent.
What if the holder asks for something my policy does not have?
We name the exact endorsement or limit that is missing and draft the request to your broker. Some changes need the insurer’s approval and can take days, so we tell you that early. A certificate should never show an endorsement that is not on the policy.
What happens to my documents?
They are confidential. They are used only to complete your check, never sold and never used to train AI models. Access is limited to the people working on your request, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
Get the certificate right before the holder rejects it.
Send the holder’s request with your declarations pages by 3 pm Pacific. The same business day you get each item marked supported or missing and a complete request for your broker.
